Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Part D)

A stand-alone drug plan that adds prescription drug coverage to the Original Medicare Plan, some Medicare Private-Fee-for_service plans and some Medicare Advantage plans. If you have a Medigap (Medicare Supplement) policy without prescription drug coverage, you can add a Medicare Prescription Drug plan during the open enrollment period. Medicare Advantage plans that offer precription drug coverage must follow the same rules as Medicare Prescription Drug plans.
