Dance Your Way To Fitness
Dancing = Good Exercise + Fun
Dancing can be an excellent way to exercise on a regular basis and have fun doing it. It’s actually very easy to get started dancing, even if you’ve never danced a step in your life.
Here are four steps to learning how to dance. Just follow these steps and you’ll be on your way to having a lot of fun and getting some great exercise!
1: Choose your dance. Decide what dance style you want to learn. Here are a few of the more popular dance styles:
Ballroom
Tap
Ballet
Hip-hop
Folk
2: Find a studio. Just check your yellow pages for dance studios, and start calling them to see which ones offer classes for the dance style you want to learn
3: Get your gear. Some dances you won’t need any special gear. Other dance styles will require special shoes or clothing, such as tap and ballet. You can still probably get the gear you need for under $100. Just ask the dance studio what you will need.
4: Start dancing!

I agree that dancing is a great way to keep fit. You end up doing a lot of movement without realising it.
I have danced modern jive for several years and ballroom for the last two. In these styles not only are you keeping fit but having to think and communicate what is coming next non-verbally to a partner.
It is also an activity that you can continue as you get older and again the mental activity must be a great benefit here too.
