Introducing IBD Insurance Services:
Our Agents and Our History

IBD Insurance Services was established in Raleigh, NC in 1993 to sell Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina individual health insurance plans. To this day, we still work closely with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, earning the President's Club designation year after year. This prestigious recognition is reserved for the top agencies in the state that have demonstrated outstanding sales and service ability.

Jody Fortune

Jody Fortune joined IBD Insurance in June of 2008 after three years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina®. While with BCBSNC, he focused on the individual health insurance market and on finding health plans for individuals, families and Medicare participants. Jody brings this specialty to IBD, where he is the point of contact for individual, family and Medicare plans. Jody is also a specialist on Inclusive Health, also known as the North Carolina Health Insurance Risk Pool, and was recently recognized as a top referring agent for the plan.

Jody came to the North Carolina individual health insurance market after working in the group insurance market for over seven years in Massachusetts. While there he focused on tailoring benefit packages specific to each group's unique needs. This experience allows him to understand both group and individual policies and gives him a unique perspective when assisting clients and educating them about various products and options.

 

Dave Woodard

Dave Woodard has joined the IBD team. He is responsible for advising clients in individual and family life insurance, disability income, long-term care, and annuity planning. He is a Raleigh native working in the greater triangle area. Dave has worked throughout North Carolina as an agent and broker since 1978. Dave and Jim Price have worked jointly with clients for more than twenty years.
